Little Stars Skill Builder is the perfect place to develop computer skills and artistic talent. The classes are designed by professionals with a background in technology and special needs education, ensuring that students receive the best possible support on their journey towards personal growth and development. Our small group (max. 2 students) class offers significant benefits, including personalized attention from the instructor and the ability to tailor discussions to each individual's needs.
Computer Class:
We offer basic, intermediate, and advanced computer classes. The basic computer class is designed for beginners to develop foundational skills in using a computer. Ex. navigating the desktop, managing files and folders, using software applications, browsing the internet safely, basic troubleshooting, email usage, etc. For intermediate and advanced classes, we require students to have basic Windows knowledge and basic programming concepts. We offer Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat PDF, and website design classes (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), and coding classes for Python, SQL, etc.
Art Class:
Students will be able to learn basic art ideas from acrylic paint, oil pastels, drawing, and crafts. We teach individuals to use different materials to create their art. Our program is designed to build and maintain an interest in art. Kids will learn to build skills and increase general motor skills gradually. We assess the individual fine motor skills before we design and select the appropriate method to teach the individual.
Art creates fun and relaxation while the individual builds meaningful activities toward leisure time. Art activities aid our kids' physical, mental, and emotional well-being. We provide the lesson to teach sewing art, playdough animal art, sketch drawing, oil pastel, and oil paint. Craft skills that will help the individual to improve the plan, organization, and hand motor skills.
